Growing Notes
Oxheart tomatoes are known for their tall, vigorous growth and distinctive plant habit. Their vines can appear more droopy or delicate, especially when young, with thinner stems and softer foliage compared to standard tomato types. This is completely normal for the variety and not a sign of poor health.
Because oxhearts tend to grow tall and set heavy clusters of fruit, they benefit from strong, consistent support throughout the season. Use sturdy cages, stakes, or trellising systems to keep vines upright and well-aerated. With good structure and regular care, these plants reward growers with exceptional yields and breathtaking heart-shaped fruit.
